Minus one

This week we said good-bye to one of my "daughters". My 6 year old moved to another foster home in another county. This was a difficult decision to make. However, it was becoming increasingly difficult to help both girls at the same time. By separating them, both girls get the individual attention they so desperately need. My 8 year old has transitioned well. She is sleeping better and laughing more. I have seen her blossom over the past 2 days. I know this will still be a hard road and I know the time will come when she is toooo bored because "there is nothing to do". Please pray for my 6 year old as she transitions, yet again, to a new home, family and school.

God and money

Today as I was writing my check for my tithe at the kitchen table, my 8 year old asked me "If you write God a check does he take it from your bank account or does the church do that and give it to him? What a simple question that made me think.
