Here comes Christmas

"It's the most wonderful time of the year" or so the song goes. For some reason this year, it is a little more stressful. I feel a bit overwhelmed by the blessings this year and it can be paralyzing. God has been overwhelming faithful in providing a finalization to the adoption and a promise of forever in an engagement. I feel uneasy about asking for any thing else from God or mankind. However I have seen more of a need this year. I see that more people need Jesus. They seem so caught up in consumerism and what they will "get" this year. Isn't it all about the "giving'? What more can I give this year? What can I give that will last a lifetime? I think I will focus more on the gift of time this year. Giving of myself rather than getting distracted by all the Christmas stuff and expectations.
