"Be willing to follow wherever I lead. Follow me wholeheartedly, with glad anticipation quickening your pace. Though you don't know what lies ahead, I know: and that is ENOUGH!!! Some of My richest blessings are just around the bend; out of sight, but nonetheless very real. To receive these gifts, you must walk by faith- not by sight. This doesn't mean closing your eyes to what is all around you. It means subordinating the visable world to the invisible Shepherd of your soul." -Sarah Young, Jesus Calling
Those of you who know the "real" me know that I am a worrier. I can obsess about the smallest details and I question everything, most of the time to my own detriment. I left my job in June, knowing that I needed to be home for the summer with LA and Jonathan. I also felt the need to "prepare" for a move. Whether across the ocean, across the country or across town. I needed to be home to prepare not so much LA but MYSELF for a move. With no guidance at that time as to where God was leading us, after many prayers and tears, I did it. I left my friends and children to focus on my new family. Well after the wedding and summer, worry set in. I mean it REALLY set in. Jonathan is not a worrier and it drove me bananas that he just trusted God to provide while I was obsessing about every penny I spent.
Fast forward 4 months later, I applied for a job in Western North Carolina. They immediately called me for an interview last Friday. I left the interview with the peace that this was the place. But skeptical me would not admit it to anyone. I WANTED THIS JOB. After a whirlwind on Tuesday, I was offered the job on Wednesday morning. I needed the typical child care provider licensing paperwork- physicals, TB test results, and fingerprints. So yesterday, Thursday, Jonathan and I headed to the mountains to get fingerprints and really get to know the town where I will be working. We made an appt to view some houses for rent with a Realtor. Of course we got there super early- remember my worrisome nature that we might get caught in traffic or get lost. We drove around Columbus, and found the houses we were supposed to look at.
We saw a for rent sign as we traveled and rode around town. It was "way" out of our league. Jonathan being the optimistic man he is said we should call and at least look at it. How convenient that the guy was painting down the street and was able to show us the house before we went to our appt. How convenient that I fell in love before we walked into the front door. How convenient that the owner had come down 200.00 from the original price. How convenient the other two houses we saw were either not where we could move in immediately or that the owner was not willing to come down on the price. How convenient the owner was willing to meet us again, let us look at the home and complete paperwork.
